Why Your PAHT-CF Parts Delaminate (And How to Fix It)

PAHT-CF is a beast of a material — but it will delaminate into useless layers if you don't respect its requirements. Here's the most common cause and the fix.
The Problem: Layer Separation
PAHT-CF (high-temp nylon) needs serious heat to bond layers. If your chamber is too cold or your print speed too fast, the layers don't fuse — and the part cracks along layer lines under load.
The Fixes
1. Enclosed, heated chamber. 50°C+ minimum. Open-frame printers can't do PAHT-CF justice.
2. Slow down. Carbon fiber nylons need time for layer adhesion. 40-60mm/s walls, not 200mm/s.
3. Hot nozzle, hot bed. 290-310°C nozzle, 100-110°C bed. Don't be shy.
4. Dry it. PAHT-CF is nylon — it absorbs moisture. 80°C for 8 hours before printing.
The Result
Get those four right and PAHT-CF makes parts that survive real abuse. Get them wrong and you'll wonder why the print "looked fine" but shattered on the first use.
